New Practice Model section added to DSIA Portal

Franklin Park, NJ (March 31, 2011) - A new section has been added to the DSIA Portal of Information Architecture. This section covers what DSIA Research Initiative is calling Practice Modeling. Practice modeling is being explored to help define the attributes of a sustainable environment for cultivating an information architecture discipline within an organization.

For instance, if you were asked about the approach you take to achieve viable results as a professional, what would you say? Can you explain how you measure your own proficiency, or even that of your peers? And what measures have you taken to harness tacit knowledge. These are just some of the questions that practice modeling can help knowledge workers answer in any competitive and evolving field.

The DSIA's research is still in its infancy, but the current findings are promising. Highlights of this work are being made available to the public as it emerges.

If you're interested in the latest research, I encourage you to visit the practice model research section of the DSIA Portal of Information Architecture. The links below will help you get started.
