Nathaniel is a practitioner, independent researcher and theorist on matters regarding information architecture. Nathaniel's interests include descriptions for and patterns related to information, and how a reference framework for information can help to improve human-computer interaction (HCI) and other information management methods within complex indeterminate systems.
In April, 2010 Nathaniel launched the DSIA Research Initiative and the DSIA Portal of Information Architecture in an effort to define and communicate a discipline of information architecture that is based on his theories, research and practice.
